EASTER BASKETS FOR COMMUNITY KIDS DONATION DRIVE 2015

EASTER BASKETS FOR COMMUNITY KIDS DONATION DRIVE 2015

Easter is meant to be a joyous time of year, but for children in our community experiencing emotional or financial hardships, the upcoming Easter holiday can be a challenging time. In an attempt to bring a little happiness this Easter, local Discovery Toys Educational Consultants are acquiring charitable donations to assemble Easter baskets for children of single moms who belong to the YWCA and Encompass’ Single Mothers Group.
Each child will receive a high quality, fun-filled basket which
will include a Discovery Toys book, game &/or toy, and some Easter candy treats, toothbrush, paste, and other assorted donated items from my community partners.
We have been asked to provide 20 baskets this year for children
ages 1 to 13 years. We are asking individuals and businesses
throughout the community to contribute $30 for each basket. Sponsors who donate over $100* will have their name/logo posted on our Facebook website banner and ads.
We can accept cash, cheque, gift cards, or merchandise we could auction off. Cheques should be made payable to Stephanie Eby
Any donation is highly appreciated! **Deadline is Friday, March 20th, 2015**
Individuals or businesses who contribute will receive special recognition in all of our social media releases and a published thank you sent out to all donors. We sincerely appreciate your generous contribution in helping to make our “Easter Baskets for Community Kids” a success.

This Investors Group Walk for Memories is dedicated to Susan and Boyd Wylie.

Susan and Boyd Wylie, married since 1978, have both experienced the loss of their mothers to Alzheimer’s disease.

Susan grew up in North Vancouver with a younger brother and parents that encouraged her to use her imagination and to have a sense of humour. Boyd grew up in Richmond with an older sister and had a wonderful childhood making and floating rafts. Both Susan and Boyd would like to claim their parents as the best in the world.

Boyd first connected with the Alzheimer Society of B.C. in 2008 for information to better understand his mother’s diagnosis. He and Susan later became founding members of an adult kids’ support group in Langley. They both credit attending support groups as allowing them to learn more about the disease and to process their feelings.

Both Susan and Boyd have extensive knowledge of dementia and provide endless empathy and support to others whose lives are impacted by dementia. They also volunteer at numerous local events by distributing information.

Join Langley, Aldergrove and Abbotsford in honouring Susan and Boyd Wylie and others impacted by Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias at the 2015 Investors Group Walk for Memories. Let’s get walking, Langley, Aldergrove and Abbotsford!
