Date night with JOHN McDERMOTT?

LOOKING BACK...
 20TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR!

John McDermott can recall the precise moment when he realized that giving up his day job and making singing his full-time career had been the right decision. That moment came at 8 pm on October 5th, 1993 at the Rebecca Cohn Auditorium in Halifax as he walked on stage to a full house and a thunderous East Coast welcome.  It was his first concert with his own band, and he was received with such wild encore-inducing enthusiasm the concert turned into a 4 hour marathon.  John was hooked!

Now, 20 years and more than 25 albums later, John McDermott is internationally renowned as both a recording star and champion of veterans’ causes, which includes his foundation McDermott House Canada.

In Concert, whether he is sharing the stage with a stellar group of musical friends or touring the world as part of the famed Three Irish Tenors, McDermott continues to enchant audiences with his beautiful tenor voice and sensitive renditions.  Though time and travel have introduced him to a wealth of new material and experiences, he manages to incorporate that diversity into his performances, while retaining the charm and humour that endeared him to audiences from the beginning.  For this 20th Anniversary Tour - a two decade retrospective - McDermott will highlight a variety of songs from his early recordings through his latest releases.

Tickets:  $47.50    from the Chilliwack Cultural Centre Box Office
